SCHEDULE

Peak Content Summit '20 will be held in downtown Asheville, NC, on March 11-13, 2020. Our opening reception will kick off at 6pm on Wednesday, March 11, with bevvies and snacks, along with some interesting but casual talks to get everyone warmed up! Plan on arriving in Asheville by 4:30pm EDT so you can settle in and head over to the reception. Or get in early for some of the pre-conference activities lined up!

Day One - March 11

9am - 12pm (Optional) Morning group road bike ride
Wanna get your wiggles out before the conference starts? Our friends at Industry Nine, who make amazing hubs, wheels and other cycling components, will lead a group road bike ride. Sign up for the ride here.
12p-2p (Optional) Industry Nine Factory Tour
Stick around after the ride, or just show up at noon, for a quick tour to see how they machine hubs and spokes, anodize parts, and build complete road and mountain bike wheels...all in house! Sign up for the tour here.
6-8pm CHECK IN & Meet 'n' Greet Happy Hour
Check in and be ready to rock 'n' roll the next morning, grab a drink and meet the team, speakers and fellow attendees for a casual chat before the conference starts Thursday morning. Location TBA, but it will be easy walking distance from host hotel.

Day Two - March 12

At Cambria hotel lobby. After this, head directly to Capital Club. Venue doors open at 9am.
9am OPENING KEYNOTE - Tyler Benedict
The state of content marketing, why do it, and some things you might not know about content marketing's real value. This thought provoking keynote will challenge your ideas of what content marketing is, setting the stage for true learning and growth over the next two days.
10am HOW TO GENERATE UNLIMITED CONTENT IDEAS - Melanie Deziel
Don't know where to start? Still figuring out if content marketing is for you? Not sure if you have what it takes? That's why Melanie Deziel is kicking things off for us. Her talk will teach you how to organize your content brainstorms, get your creative juices flowing, and help you feel prepared to generate a seemingly endless number of unique content ideas for your brand. You'll leave this session with a plan of action, giving you a strong foundation upon which everything else you'll learn here can be built.
11am HOW TO TURN YOUR BRAND INTO A HOUSEHOLD NAME - Benton Crane
Benton will outline the marketing road-map you need to transform your small brand that nobody knows or cares about into a big-time brand that people know, love and trust. You'll learn the right marketing messages to focus on at each stage of your business in order to get you to the next level. Using examples from their Squatty Potty, PooPouri and other award-winning campaigns, he'll also give us tips on adding the right kinds of humor to make our content marketing wildly shareable and successful.

1pm MAXIMIZE YOUR CONTENT'S SEO VALUE - Tyler Bishop
Learn what's really important about SEO, how to tailor your content to improve search rankings, and the things that don't matter. Or worse, the things that can hurt your rankings! You'll learn actionable tips and tactics that are all white hat; the difference between keywords, phrases and topics; pro content research methods, and so, soooo much more. Even if SEO isn't your main job, you'll gain an understanding of what's important that will help you produce more effective content in any medium.
2pm USING USER-GENERATED CONTENT - GoPro
Fresh off their $1 Million Dollar Challenge for the new HERO8 action cam, GoPro's produciton team will explain how they build buzz for their latest cameras through user generated content (UGC). It's not just about flashy videos and extreme stunts. There's a science to getting users to care enough to send in their own content for a brand to use...and share!

You have all these ideas and amazing content, now what? Send it to your company's blog to die? We'll show you better uses for your content marketing, and how to grow its reach by working with media and influencers, using paid placements, getting your retailers to spread the word & more!

Day Three - March 13

How Bikerumor created ethical, effective and profitable content marketing packages. Beneficial for publishers who are struggling to come up with a strategy, but also for brands that want to run more effective campaigns in their industry's media outlets.
10am HOW TO MAKE YOUR CONTENT MORE DIVERSE & INCLUSIVE - Nzinga C. Blake
Is your content ignoring (or worse, excluding) some cultures, ethnicities, genders or other groups? How can you make it more inclusive? What's the business case for doing so? How can you learn to speak to different groups? This session will show you how to make broadly appealing, more inclusive content that could open you up to new markets.
11am CREATING CONTENT THAT WINS ON ANY PLATFORM - Rob Wiltsey
Understanding story arcs and how to adapt your them for different platforms, mediums and goals. Rob will teach you how to grab people's attention (and keep it) and provide tons more tips for keeping readers and viewers engaged with your content. And how to make sure the message delivers the sales pitch in the process!

1pm WHAT DOES A GOOD CONTENT CAMPAIGN LOOK LIKE? - GearJunkie
Stephen Regenold has created massive campaigns for major brands. He'll show us how he integrated them through content and other placements on GearJunkie.com, one of the world's top outdoor gear and tech websites. We'll learn about brand and publisher expectations, campaign duration, disclosure requirements, different types of content, how to measure ROI, and more.
2pm HOW TO MEASURE YOUR CONTENT'S IMPACT - TBA
Once you've put your content out there, how do you measure it? We'll show you the different metrics you should be checking, what they mean, and how to improve them. This session will focus mostly on video metrics and analytics, but include ideas for other types of content, too.
